Lake Lanier (Lake Sidney Lanier) Fishing Guide

Lake Lanier is a deep, clear lake best known for striped bass and spotted bass that feed on blueback herring. Stripers bite year-round on live herring, and spotted bass fishing is excellent on points, humps and timber. Crappie fishing around docks and brush piles is also very good.

📍 North Georgia, about an hour northeast of Atlanta. Nearest towns: Gainesville, Buford, Cumming, Flowery Branch and Dawsonville.
