Grenada Fishing Guide
Grenada has deep water close to shore, and its winter billfish bite brings boats from all over the region to the January Spice Island Billfish Tournament. Blue marlin, white marlin, sailfish, yellowfin tuna, wahoo and mahi are the main offshore fish. Inside Marine Protected Areas like Moliniere-Beauséjour, taking fish is only allowed in marked fishing zones and spear guns are banned.
📍 Grenada, southern Windward Islands. Sport fishing boats leave from the Grenada Yacht Club and Port Louis Marina in St. George's. The Moliniere-Beauséjour Marine Protected Area, home of the underwater sculpture park, is on the west coast near Grand Mal.

Tips
- Inside a Marine Protected Area, only fish where a fishing zone is marked, and leave spear guns at home.
- Anchor only in marked anchoring zones in MPAs, use buoys to moor, and never anchor within 300 feet of a dive-site mooring buoy.
- Visitors to the Moliniere-Beauséjour MPA pay a per-person entry fee set by the Grenada Tourism Authority; check the current amount.
- Stay well clear of Kick 'em Jenny north of the island, especially when its exclusion zone is widened.
- Ask your charter captain to confirm licences before you go; non-citizens need permission to use a spear gun anywhere.
