Quebec Lakes & Rivers Fishing Guide

Lac Saint-Pierre is a shallow, marshy part of the St. Lawrence with walleye, sauger and pike, and it has winter ice-fishing camps. North of Ottawa, the Outaouais and Laurentian lakes hold walleye, pike, lake trout and brook trout, much of it on public wildlife reserves and ZECs. Each zone and many single lakes have their own rules, and ZECs and reserves charge access fees and ask you to register.

📍 Southern Quebec, Canada. Lac Saint-Pierre is a wide part of the St. Lawrence River between Sorel and Trois-Rivieres, about 65 km east of Montreal (fishing zone 8). North of Ottawa-Gatineau are the Outaouais (zone 10) and Laurentian lakes (zone 9), including La Verendrye Wildlife Reserve on Route 117 and many ZECs.
