Sun Protection Clothing

UPF 50 shirts, hats, gaiters, gloves, polarized sunglasses and deck shoes for long days in the Caribbean sun.

Out on the bay, in the mangroves or on the open ocean, the everyday struggles get left behind at the dock. For those few hours, it’s just you, the smell of the sea and a feeling of peace, until the bite starts and it’s nothing but joy and excitement.

Sun Protection Clothing

UPF 50 is non-negotiable

Long sleeves with a UPF 50 rating block about 98% of UV. In the Caribbean you'll be cooler covered than in a T-shirt, especially in a hooded shirt with a neck gaiter.

Polarized lenses help you see fish

Polarized sunglasses cut the glare so you can see fish, reefs and sandbars. Gray lenses are best for bright offshore days; copper or amber for the flats and inshore.

Feet and rain

Wear closed-toe water shoes or sandals with good grip on rocks and boat decks; sea urchins are everywhere. Keep a light rain jacket in the bag for the afternoon squall.
