Gulp! Swimming Mullet
A scented paddletail that swims on the slowest retrieve and smells like food, so fish hold on longer; on a jighead it catches almost everything inshore.

How to fish it
- 1
Thread it straight on a jighead heavy enough to reach bottom in the current.
- 2
Cast and let it fall to the bottom on a tight line.
- 3
Lift the rod to hop it up, then reel slack as it swims back down.
- 4
Mix in a slow straight retrieve so the tail thumps along just off bottom.
BigJoe Tips
- Keep unused Gulp in its liquid and close the bag tight; dried-out baits get hard and lose scent.
- Thread it perfectly straight; a crooked bait spins and fish ignore it.
- Use the lightest jighead that still reaches the bottom; a slow fall gets more bites.
Mistakes to avoid
- Leaving baits out in the sun on deck; they shrink and harden fast.
- Using a jighead that is too heavy, so it plows the bottom and snags.
