How to fish it

Let the plug back well behind the boat and check that it is swimming straight before you set the drag.

Troll at the speed the plug handles; slow down if it rolls out or pops to the surface.

Work drop-offs, reef edges and current lines where kingfish and wahoo patrol.

On a strike, keep moving briefly to hook the fish solidly, then fight it with steady pressure.

Tie to the plug with a strong snap or loop, never a tight knot right on the eye.
Check and tune it at the boat; a plug running to one side gets few strikes.
Wahoo cut leaders easily; when they are around, use wire.
